# LAME MP3 encoder 4.0 SparkleShot uses the separately loaded LAME library for MP3 audio export. Project: https://lame.sourceforge.io/ License: GNU Library General Public License v2 or later; see COPYING and LICENSE. For this distribution SparkleShot elects GNU Lesser General Public License 2.1 under that grant; COPYING.LGPL-2.1 contains the elected terms. The arm64 shared library is built from the unmodified official LAME 4.0 source. Source: https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/lame/lame/4.0/lame-4.0.tar.gz Source SHA256: 3df5124d5ad3a98312ffd7ba6a9b36230e4f8a3e66d3ce0f425e336c32d216eb The corresponding archive and exact build script are included alongside this notice. Build: zsh build-lame.sh /absolute/path/to/a-new-build-directory The build targets macOS 15, enables a shared arm64 encoder with stack protection, and disables the command-line frontend, decoder and static library. The only post-build change is its Mach-O install name, @rpath/libmp3lame.0.dylib. SparkleShot uses CBR quality=4 to avoid the noise-shaping path described in upstream issue 516; the user's bitrate, sample-rate and channel selections remain. The library is separate and dynamically loaded. SparkleShot does not statically link it or require a particular signed hash. Users may modify, rebuild and replace it under LGPL 2.1, including reverse engineering needed to debug modifications. See REBUILDING.txt for personal replacement and macOS code-signing considerations.
